The dog loving mom behind Camas Prairie Sheepadoodles. You could say I have loved animals my whole life, especially dogs. It wasn't a rare occurrence for me to bat my blue eyes at my dad growing up asking for a puppy. I grew up with multiple dogs, Shelties, Collies, Border Collies, and Golden Retrievers, to name a few. The only problem was that they all shed and flared my allergies, so loving on them happened, but usually ended in itchy skin, watery eyes and lots of sneezing.
After marrying my husband and right before college graduation, I convinced him, batting my blue eyes, that if he was going to drag me to one of the most remote towns in Idaho, that I needed a dog. I began searching for an allergy friendly pup and came across a black Sheepadoodle puppy with a big white chest. I did the research and felt this was the breed for my husband and I. I presented him to my husband and next thing I knew, Cosmo, was part of our family.
Cosmo sparked my love for Sheepadoodles because of his goofy personality, minimal shedding coat, sense of adventure, and unconditional loving heart. He helped me find purpose, companionship and adventure in this very rural area.
What I didn't know was after having him I would begin researching and burying myself in learning how to raise puppies like him. I wanted everyone to experience the love and companionship a Sheepadoodle had to offer.
Now, here I am, continually learning, being mentored, and sharing the experience with my husband and two little boys at home. We love spending our days with our pups whether that is on the farm, in the mountains, or cozy at home.
